CALM INC. acquire new vehicle with generous funding to continue supporting Children, Young People, and Families across Lake Macquarie.

CALM Inc., a local for purpose organisation dedicated to supporting and empowering children, young people, and families, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of a brand-new vehicle, thanks to generous Community Building Partnership funding received from Greg Piper MP. This acquisition signifies our unwavering commitment to expanding our reach, providing flexible services, and positively impacting the lives of those we serve.

The new vehicle will significantly enhance our ability to provide vital services and support to an even greater number of children, young people, and families with flexibility around Lake Macquarie. This vehicle will play a crucial role in our efforts to improve access to transport and improve the lives of individuals. It allows our dedicated staff to navigate clients to various program locations, appointments, and support services more easily.

“We are delighted to introduce this new vehicle to our organization, made possible by the generous Community Building partnership funding from Greg Piper MP,” stated Sheena Harvey CEO of CALM Inc. “This acquisition represents a significant step forward in our mission to empower children, young people, and families, enabling us to reach more communities and deliver our Family Support Services with greater flexibility, efficiency and effectiveness. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Greg Piper MP for his invaluable support of local organisations such as ours.”

Lake Macquarie is a vibrant and diverse region, and home to 60,257 families. CALM Inc. has been working tirelessly to address challenges faced by families and provide assistance to those who need it the most.

However, the demand for our services has been rapidly increasing. ‘During this financial year our small team of 10 have supported a massive 1,604 families and young people in Western Lake Macquarie.’

We remain dedicated to our vision of creating a community where every child, young person, and family can feel safe and flourish. This new vehicle not only symbolizes our flexibility of services and growth but also represents our unwavering commitment to making a lasting and positive impact on the lives of those who rely on our support.
