Bonnells Bay Youth & Community Centre

With the community, for the community

275 Fishery Point Rd, Bonnells Bay

The Bonnells Bay Youth & Community Centre is an emerging community hub designed with the community and for the community. As we continue shaping the space together, the Centre is already becoming a place where young people, families, and local residents of all ages can connect, participate, and feel supported.

Located on Fishery Point Rd across from the shops, the Centre will offer programs, activities, and events that reflect the needs and aspirations of the Southlakes community.

We’re currently working closely with community members to co‑design what the Centre will look like, ensuring it grows into a vibrant, welcoming space that truly reflects the people it serves. This collaborative approach is shaping everything from the activities offered to the way the Centre is used day‑to‑day.

Come and visit;

Mondays from 10am-2pm for our Neighbourhood days.

Wednesdays at 9.30am for playgroup

Community Play Group

Supporting the wellbeing of Morisset

The Morisset and Bonnells Bay Playgroup, a collaborative initiative with Lake Macquarie City Council, has been a remarkable success and a testament to the strength of our partnership. Launched earlier this term, the playgroup has quickly become a beloved community asset, garnering enthusiastic participation from families.

Our weekly program is thoughtfully designed to support and enhance child development, featuring a diverse range of activities. These include opportunities for gross and fine motor skill development, sensory and messy play, imaginative play, and much more.

The HUB

Supporting the wellbeing of the Southlakes area

The Hub is your one‑stop connection point for essential services, right here in the Southlakes community. Held on the second Thursday of every month, the Hub brings a range of government and community services directly to you, reducing the need to travel and making support easier to access.

We’ve listened to the community, and we hear you:
If getting to services is hard, we’ll bring the services to you.

Each month you’ll find a rotating mix of visiting agencies, which may include:

  • Services Australia
  • Service NSW
  • NDIA
  • …and a variety of other supports depending on community needs

Whether you need help with documents, payments, service access, forms, referrals, or general guidance, the Hub provides a friendly, local place to get the assistance you need – all in one visit.

Stay tuned for monthly updates on who’s attending next, and come along to connect with the services that matter most to you and your family.

The Hub — making support accessible, local, and community‑focused.
