CALM Inc is excited to announce our commitment to a celebration of youth empowerment and expression. NSW Youth Week 2024 runs from April 11th to April 21st and is an annual event organised by young people, for young people, across communities in the state. This year’s theme, “Express. Empower. Get loud!”, resonates deeply with our organisation’s mission, vision, and values.
Every young person is unique and important. CALM Inc. empower the lives of young people through conversation and connection, and we recognize the importance of providing platforms for young voices to be heard and celebrated. At CALM Inc. we hear you! As experts in early intervention, we open up conversations, inviting young people to engage and gain a greater understanding on the topics that affect them. With this in mind, we are committed to embracing the theme of NSW Youth Week 2024 “Express. Empower. Get loud!” with a podcast creation tips and tricks workshop in partnership with @LakeMacCityCouncil and @NewcastlePodcastStation.
Through this workshop, will empower young individuals with the skills and tools necessary to express themselves through the powerful medium of podcasting. “Podcasting offers a unique avenue for storytelling, advocacy, and community building, and we believe it can serve as a powerful tool for young people to make their voices heard on issues that matter to them.” Whether it’s discussing social justice issues, sharing firsthand experiences, or
exploring creative pursuits, we want to encourage young voices to be bold, authentic, and unapologetically get loud about topics they are passionate about.
As we eagerly anticipate the start of NSW Youth Week 2024, CALM Inc invites young individuals from across the state to join us in embracing the theme of “Express. Empower. Get loud!” Together, let us celebrate the power of young voices and work towards building a more inclusive and equitable community.
